It’s that time of year when motivation is at its highest…
You know what you want to try and make happen…
Well for it all to work, now you have to take action…
Now if last year you didn’t achieve what you wanted to for what ever reason…
Then don’t worry, because the new year is a great opportunity for a clean slate…
To create or refocus on what you want to achieve and start working towards it…
But as a busy Mum, I’m sure it’s a case of make sure everyone else is ok and then try and make it fit…
Although you get no chance to procrastinate, before you know it another day goes!…
Thank you for reading my posts, it’s great they motivate you…
But as soon as you read a good bit of advice that you think “I could do that”, try and work out what the quickest way to start is…
Is it next meal time, next food shop, next gym visit, next 30 minute gap for exercise at home…
Seize it quick, don’t over think it, don’t work out how to talk your self out of it…
Of course you are busy, of course there is other stuff going on…
That won’t change, but if you don’t then nor will the fact you feel unhappy about your current state…
And I don’t want that for you…
Just do what you can, but if what you were doing before didn’t get results then a different approach is needed…
At this time of year use that motivation to take action…
Either go all in, but have a plan to get you through life’s up and downs where you can still do something…
Or if that’s overwhelming then focus on one big thing…
Completing a number of exercise sessions a week, adjusting portion size, having a protein source each meal to feel fuller, having your breakfast first in the morning for example…
Any one of those will work, at least to start.
