How Exercise Keeps Your Metabolism Fire Roaring for Weight Loss.

Back when I worked in a fitness facility in Dubai…
I was asked to design a little poster on the benefits of exercise…
I thought of about 5 of the top of my head…
20 minutes later and I had quite easily got to 50 benefits…
And I thought as I was writing out number 47 or so, who is still reading this far?
(Bit like when I get to the end of writing one of my drawn out posts)…
Exercise massively helps with losing and shaping (in fact the shaping bit is pretty impossible without it)…
If we do the right exercises, that focus on calories burned after than during…
But a big one is doing enough in a week…
You can have the best exercise session but about 48 hours later the effects start to wear off (unless we repeat the process)…
In fact I would state 2 sessions in a week (where big muscle groups get stimulated) is the minimum to preserve muscle at least…
Even 20 minutes is enough to have this effect if you keep moving…
Does it matter if muscle decreases?…
Yep! The number of calories you burn per day decreases otherwise, meaning you have to watch what you are eating even more, not to mention portion size…
Plus if you have achey joints (if you are carrying too much body fat/been through pregnancy/ your day involves lots of sitting) then the right movement will help (it may not always feel like it) but joints seize without movement…
And the movements are designed to free up tight muscles, by working muscles that aren’t being used during our usual day…
And those that give much needed support to our ankles/hips/spine/shoulders…
If you are motivated to do a few exercise sessions a week involving functional muscle strengthening  exercises and I know you are busy then great! But I’m talking about a few people…
This was the very reason for setting up my Lose and Shape Up Busy Mums groups; most Personal Training one to one is once a week because it’s expensive, in a small group (or semi private) the expense is shared so it can be numerous times a week, there is a free week’s trail at the moment so if you live in the Verwood/Ferndown/West Moors area and can do mornings or evenings…
